Jenzabar Brings Student Lifecycle Management to
Charleston Southern University
Retention and Development Improvements Are Goals for Web Portal

Cambridge, MA — September 26, 2005 — Jenzabar, Inc., the pioneer of Total Campus Management (TCM) solutions for higher education, today announced that Charleston Southern University has selected Jenzabar’s Internet Campus Solution (JICS) and Constituent Relationship Modules to elevate the University’s online capabilities. The implementation of a Web portal to serve students, faculty and staff in conjunction with the Jenzabar EX ERP system, which the University has had installed for several years, will bring Total Campus Management to Charleston Southern to assist the institution in managing the student lifecycle from admissions to advancement.

“Portals are the way to go,” said Rusty Bruns, Chief Information Officer for Charleston Southern. “Students are our primary customers, and they are looking to do more things on the Web in terms of managing their educational experience. With Jenzabar’s Internet Campus Solution our students will be able to customize their own pages, add their own features, and have a centralized place for all their CSU activity. Our goal is to increase our student services and keep our constituents connected to the University. Going forward, JICS will be a big part of that effort,” he added. Mr. Bruns also noted that the Jenzabar product suite has grown considerably, with many new features and enhanced functionality since the University joined the Jenzabar family as one of its first Jenzabar EX customers.

Mr. Bruns is anticipating great return on investment from the Constituent Relationship Modules (CRM) that the University will tie into its portal. Charleston Southern will implement CRM Staff, which will allow the creation of online purchase orders, significantly reduce paperwork, and save the University money. Additionally, CRM Staff introduces workflow efficiencies, and its reporting capabilities will better enable users to create and run their own reports. Charleston Southern also will implement CRM Advancement Officer to improve fundraising and reporting as well as strengthen alumni relationships.
