Oregon-Based Community College Energizes Constituency With Total Campus ManagementSM
Jenzabar’s Solution Includes New Remote Database Administration Services

Cambridge, MA — May 5, 2005 Jenzabar, Inc., the pioneer of Total Campus Management (TCM) solutions for higher education, today announced that Tillamook Bay Community College, Tillamook, OR, has chosen Total Campus Management to realize the College’s strategy of providing an enhanced student experience while maintaining a reasonable cost structure for its delivery. Tillamook Bay Community College (TBCC) will utilize Jenzabar’s ERP system, Jenzabar EX; its Web portal, Jenzabar’s Internet Campus Solution (JICS); and Jenzabar’s Remote Database Administration (RDBA) managed services to improve operating efficiencies and deliver feature-rich services to students and other constituents.

Jenzabar’s customized TCM solution for TBCC features Jenzabar’s RDBA services for 24x7x365 management, administration and backup. These managed services provide customers with specialized professional database management and administration for Microsoft® SQL Server
and/or Oracle® databases as a component of their ERP system. This represents a new model for distributing Jenzabar’s solutions to institutions that, due to their size or location, or due to their preference for operating versus capital investments, see managed services and collocation as an attractive technology procurement opportunity. These services not only reduce demands on in-house IT resources, but also provide performance monitoring and overall improvements in system performance.

Jenzabar EX brings the functionality and flexibility that are crucial to helping institutions facilitate the flow of information, maximize efficiency, support planning initiatives, and empower its personnel. The Jenzabar EX product is a user-friendly ERP system that links all administrative offices through a centralized database and delivers a full suite of powerful yet flexible reporting tools. Jenzabar’s student information systems will help the College manage data through the entire student lifecycle, from Admissions and Registration through Financial Aid, Student Life, and Advising to Alumni Development. Jenzabar’s fully-integrated business office applications will streamline administrative tasks in Human Resources, Purchasing, and Finance, including General Ledger, Accounts, Payable, and Accounts Receivable. Jenzabar EX delivers targeted, individualized information to the appropriate audience, whether it’s the institution’s president or a student registering for class.

Tillamook Bay Community College also will install the JICS portal solution to provide a single point of access to Web-based self-service, communications and community-building applications. Through integration with Jenzabar EX, JICS will provide students, faculty, staff, and alumni with anytime, anywhere access to a full range of academic and administrative information online. Additionally, JICS will offer TBCC constituents a suite of communication tools, including e-mail and calendars, chat rooms, and discussion forums.
