Jenzabar Helps Berry College Manage Increased Admission Applications
CAMBRIDGE, MAMarch 26, 2001Jenzabar,
a leading provider of Internet enterprise software, e-learning solutions,
and services to higher education, is pleased to announce that its
Web software has helped Berry College of Rome, Georgia, to increase
the numbers of admission applications to the College in 2001. "The
Jenzabar Web software is one of the principal reasons for these
increases," stated George Gaddie, Dean of Admissions for Berry
College. "The Elite software has allowed us to communicate
with prospective students and allow more thorough follow-up at all
stages of the admission cycle."
Statistics provided by Berry College show that the number of freshmen
applications received as of February 28, 2001 increased 13.7% annually
compared to February 29, 2000. Similarly, over the same time period
the number of offers made to applicants increased 13.5%, and the
number of deposits received from accepting students increased 17.9%.
In particular, Berrys Web site has assisted in the process
of prescreening and qualifying prospective students. "All telephone
inquiries are encouraged to visit our Web site so that prospective
students can fill out an information form or obtain a printable
application," stated Gaddie. "This has allowed us to prescreen
and qualify prospects and get the numbers for applications and deposits
up."
"Furthermore, the significant increase in the number of records
entered, the processing and handling of all the accompanying data
entry has been accomplished without adding additional data entry
or support staff," Gaddie added.
The College uses Jenzabars Elite integrated suite of applications,
including student, financial, alumni development, and human resources.
In 1998, Berry College upgraded to the Elite solution to enhance
administrative capabilities. The class entering in Fall 2001 is
the first complete admissions cycle Berry College has administered
using Elite since its implementation in August 1999.
