Jenzabar is Center Stage at Educause 2000
This years Educause Higher Education Technology
Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee was the biggest and best
ever. Focused on Converging and Emerging Technology in the 21st
Century, the event provided 6,000 conferees with four days rich
in opportunities to connect with people and ideas. And Jenzabar,
sporting a new booth and a new commanding presence, by all accounts
stole the show.
Throngs of higher ed IT professionals mobbed Jenzabars
six demo stations and large presentation area. Attendees wanted
a chance to win a trip to Cancun by spinning the large wheel centered
in Jenzabars exhibit space. To be eligible, players acquired
a "passport," which had to be stamped by each of the Jenzabar
companies at their respective booths CARS, CMDS, Campus America
and Quodata. Busy Jenzabar representatives at all five exhibit booths
handed out nearly 2,000 passports during 16 open exhibit hours.
To further focus on "Five have become One",
some 5,000 soccer balls were bouncing around the exhibit hall. Each
Jenzabar ball carried the names of the four administrative software
companies that merged with Jenzabar. While the event was exciting,
Jenzabar had a lot of substance to offer attendees. The press conference
in Jenzabars "hospitality" suite presented an "end-to-end"
integration theme and announced the new two-flagship product strategy.
Jenzabar was clearly showing the effects of this banner year of
continuous growth.
Wednesday evening a group of 200 prospects and clients
were invited to spend an evening at the Opryland Country Club for
dinner and entertainment. Melody was provided by the Supremes, who
sang and danced for well over an hour and a half. Clearly thrilled
to be part of the groundbreaking changes at Jenzabar, one customer
closed an appreciative e-mail with "Thanks to Jenzabar for
the opportunity to interact with other users and be involved in
the beginning of new relationships!
